Why Supplying an OEM Is a Different ERP Problem
Sanand is not an ordinary estate. Spread over roughly 8,000 acres with 500-plus companies, it is anchored by large OEM plants — Tata Motors' passenger-vehicle complex, MG Motor, and Micron's semiconductor assembly and test facility — with a Tier-1 and Tier-2 supplier base built around them and a growing EV component cluster.
If you supply into that, your planning calendar is not yours. The customer does not send purchase orders; it sends a rolling release covering several months in which the near weeks are firm and the later weeks are indicative, and it revises that release regularly. A system that treats each release as a new purchase order accumulates duplicate demand and over-buys. One that overwrites the last release loses the record of what was committed and when — which is exactly the record you need when a quantity is disputed.
OEMup holds the schedule as a versioned object with a firm horizon, re-plans MRP when it is revised, and carries lot genealogy in both directions so a customer audit is answered from the system. The full version of this argument is in our guide for auto-component manufacturers.
OEMup runs entirely on the cloud — no server, no local install, no IT team. Reach us on +91 63582 51676 or WhatsApp.

Sanand and the Corridor Back to Ahmedabad
Sanand runs along the same corridor as the heavy engineering base at Changodar, and back toward the older city estates at Odhav and Vatva GIDC. For the city and state picture see Ahmedabad and Gujarat. Suppliers running to the same OEM discipline in Maharashtra are covered at Pune.
